This is my second Simplicity ZT in 18 years! My old ZT16 w Kohler 16HP finally died last month and I went right for another Simplicity. This machine is FAST and with the 48" / 3 blade deck compared to the old 38" deck it makes cutting time like half. Love it and taking it with me if we ever move. It's a keeper! JC
These aren't the most heavy duty (which I like) but if you're not using them commercially it's what you want. The yard I mow w/this is lumpy so I wanted shock absorbers. It's an acre roughly, I prob should have gone w/52" but it "cuts" this 1 hr project down to around 40/45 min. I used a 54" Craftsman regular rider b/4. 1st ZT for me and it won't be the last. 1st Simplicity too/won't be the last although I'm 60 so buying lawnmowers might slow down some. These make mowing fun,,,I liked to mow anyway so these make mowing even that much more fun. Smooth even cut, leaves nice stripes and I don't bag or mulch so this is the mower for me. I've had riders over the years and prob hundreds of push mowers (I work on them, buy and sell them as a hobby) but this ZT is a keeper. I won't go w/o one from now on.
If you have some coordination , this mower does an attractive cut in fast time. Good quality , I get compliments on my lawn. Only problem is my wife is still getting used to the levers ! also, I've only had to put a mowing belt on and change hydraulic hose once. Easy job ! Still looks like new after 11 years. Very happy with it
Handles well and has cut about 40% off my mowing time. Really pleased so far.
Looked at different ZT mowers. This was the only one with this “airy” seat. Only one in this size range that had the cargo bed. B&S engine.
