Purchased our YTH24K48 new back in 2013 and have accumulated 165 hours since with no issues. We have performed all the standard maintenance as recommended and religiously greased all fittings and lubricated areas as required.
The only issue we have had was the battery failing twice over 7 years which is expected and an intermittent fuel tank leak which was caused by chaffing the frame. Also installed a Husqvarna OEM Snow Plow and Tail Weight / Tire Chains for winter operations and the Mulching Kit for the summer. Both items work as advertised and glad we have them for our half-acre yard and 40' X 70' driveway.
Some of the negative reviews we have seen in the Husqvarna Web Site are due to not reviewing the initial start-up procedures and not performing normal maintenance/inspections. Will agree that problems will occasionally occur for a lawn tractor that is mass produced and lemons are inevitable, but we have had no major problems with our Husqvarna Tractor and will continue to purchase the brand.
