I like the ease at which the file guide allows you to keep a straight angle to the tooth as you align the file with the sides of the guide which never move relative to the file. Other guides that attach to the file have a plate with lines scribed on them that are too easily misaligned as the lines move away from the tooth as the file moves. I especially like the file handle which allows both flat and round files to be easily changed and lock in place. This is an ideal tool for either fast touch up in the field or more serious sharpening in the shop. It is much less cumbersome than some of the rigs which must be attached to the bar.

Good stuff.
I bought one and it worked great. Don't need to worry about the angle, because it's preset. I'm buying one foe my dad, who only uses the old school one!
