Its function is to prevent moisture from freezing and blocking the engine's crankcase ventilation system (the breather hose). This kit is an essential part of an Extreme Cold Weather Package designed to ensure the generator operates without malfunction in sub-zero temperatures.

- Recommended for extreme cold weather applications where temperatures frequently fall below 0°F (-17°C) and icing is a risk.
Compatibility:
- Designed for use with Generac Air-Cooled Standby Generators ranging from 9 kW up to 26 kW (and 28 kW models).
Model Year Restriction:
- This kit is only compatible on generators manufactured from 2013 to the present (Evolution Controller models).
Required Oil:
- Crucially, when installing the 7103, the engine oil must be replaced with 5W-30 synthetic oil to ensure proper engine lubrication upon cold start-up.
