    Mulches Florida grasses very well

    I put this mulch kit to the test on my Snapper Pro s50xt with the Kawasaki 600v and the 48 inch ICD deck when I mulched 6 to 7 and in spots 8 inch high grass on a yard at around 4 to 5 mph. Half speed of the rated 8 mph or a hair more. It left absolutely zero clippings in the yard with no double cutting and I cut it at 2 3/4 inch setting and hardly any clippings were under the deck upon inspection after cutting the yard. Which means they all mulched and disappeared back into the grass. Needless to say I was very impressed. The grass was a st. Augustine Baha'i mix here in FL however it was quite thick. I talked to a friend who has this same kit and he said don't change a thing about it meaning use different blades etc. other than the factory blades. for FL grass this kit is awesome. Now I can cut and aim the chute side wherever without worry about grass clippings thrown anywhere and everywhere I don't want them. Before I mounted the blades I did sharpen and balance them on my Magnamatic sharpening and balancing equipment. The installation took 20 maybe 30 minutes and was super easy with my lawn mower lift. Great purchase. I thought it was a tad pricey but I can't change that, with the discharge chute blocked and 4 inches of thick grass totally disappearing without double cutting it is well worth it. If I cut this with a discharge chute there would have been a bit to rake up. Afterwards the lawn looked clean and well manicured. Wish I had it on video I was so impressed.
