Have so far felled two-36" diameter pines in tight situations and lowered a 41" diameter stump. I have also used the saw overhead, holding only the rear handle with two hands (not recommended without a lot of experience and knowledge of kickback) and lowered a 41" stump. The saw is perfectly balanced, runs like a top out of the box, and collects very little dust on the air filter. I have used Stihls since 1976 but the Echo starts better than the new Stihls, and, as mentioned, is well-balanced.
Two small Stihls I recently bought for pruning will not start, stop and start again which is essential when I am using them high in a tree. Will never buy another Stihl.
Recommend Echo! Good torquey guts for its displacement, too.
