I have a Stihl and a Husqvarna, this new Echo is just as good now but I'll know for sure in a couple of years. I do like it better than when I first starting using the other two.
after enrichening the H and L jets out of the box and running a 32 to 1 synthetic mix for break in, the saw meets Echo`s reputation for quality. Performance is about the same as my cs-600p and my stihl 036. The cs-590 came with a spur sprocket rather than a rim and less expensive bar than the cs-600p. The cs-590 has a nice cutting pace with a wide powerband it is not awkward like other saws in this price class and it has so far been a pleasure to use.
I heat our house with a wood burning stove, so need lots of firewood. Have several other saws but the Timber Wolf is by far the best, most powerful, strongest running saw I've even bought. Spend the extra money & get this one, wanted the 18" bar, but they were sold out so SLE sent me a 20" with my approval & it is better then what I expected.
I've got a smaller Echo and will sell it no need for it when I have this beast.
You will not go wrong with his one if your planning on doing a lot of big trees
