After buying an Echo SRM-2620T trimmer, I realized I needed a U-handle, and because compatibility of Echo's kits for that trimmer model is poorly documented, I wrote Echo customer service. The folks there responded that the 99944200435 kit is the correct one for that trimmer model. The kit was back-ordered at SLE, and when it arrived I quickly discovered that its instructions were not fully relevant for the 2620T and that one of the wiring terminations did not match the corresponding connector on the 2620T. Ultimately, I was able to change the connector on the U-handle cable to work with the 2620T, and with some minor adjustments of the wiring-and-throttle-cable harness, I was able to get it connected and secure. So far, it has worked well in use. So I'm reducing the rating for all three components (quality, price and value) because the harness is not made for the 2620T, but it can be adapted to work properly. The obvious conclusion is this: make the right buying decision first and get the comparable model trimmer with U-handle as part of its original assembly. I paid a substantial penalty not doing that.
