DK2 OPC514 4" Disk Wood Chipper 14HP Kohler Pull/Tow Behind

I have been looking at various models and styles of wood chippers for some time now. I stumbled upon this wood chipper after multiple searches. At first I could not believe that a chipper of this size and a 14hp kohler engine was priced at 1500 with free shipping. I contacted SLE equipment through email and was surprised when I got a response a couple of hours later. After multiple emails with Kip I decided to pull the trigger. I placed my order over the phone on a Wednesday and received the chipper the following Monday. From Tennessee to Virginia. Even then shipping company Tforce freight was great!
Assembly was straight forward took about two hours. Took the chipper out the following day and boy is this thing great! Did everything I asked and more. I have watched many hours of YouTube videos of different chippers from 4” to 6”. There are no videos of this chipper. Let alone many videos of home owner 14hp disk chippers. But of all the videos I’ve seen of 14hp drum chippers the dk2 opc514 beats them hands down. Don’t wait any longer. Get this chipper at this amazing price. Received this last week and once I got this 500lb monster off the truck, I was almost afraid to start it. It's a lot bigger than I expected but it's exactly what I need. Started on the first pull. Runs smooth and chips well. Chips are rather fine and can blow around if it's windy, but make good mulch. Flywheel is balanced well and there is little vibration. Construction is very heavy duty and good quality. Assembly can be difficult if you don't have a way to pick it up. I had to slide the pallet down my wooden ramps, then jack up each corner to attach the wheels and tongue. My only complaints are that some of the hardware was loose inside the crate and could have easily gotten lost thru a small gap in the crate. Also the E-stop button sticks out too far and can get bumped by accident. Otherwise a fantastic machine. Customer service has been great so far and SLE Equip has this priced MUCH lower that other online sellers. 4.5 Stars rounded UP!
