California Trimmer RL257-GX160 25" Classic Reel Mower

Grew up in the Pacific Northwest and always used my Dad’s Cal Trimmer. Fast forward 20+ years and have been in the Phoenix area for over a decade using a Honda rotary mower until I decided to try reels again. I now realize I should have been using this the whole time! The lawn is healthier and not to mention shorter plus the advantage of mowing early when it’s still wet from the watering without making a huge mess like a traditional mower does. Would recommend to anyone who wants the best lawn in the neighborhood.

I have been a golf course superintendent for 37 years. Used every reel mower brand and most that residential has never heard of. Mow for 1/8" to 2". Mow my lawn with a California Trimmer and its a 10!. If u complain about a mower? Its mot the mower. Its the maintenance and frequency of cut. You dont mow with a reel mower, you clip. If uou mow once a week, get a rotary. If uou want a perfect lawn, reel mower then mow 2-3 times per week. R year degree Turf Grass Management, 37 years grass experience.
