I have had this generator for probably 10 yrs. Only problem I have ever had is starting and that is always been a dirty carb. Clean it and back to new. I have connected to my pane(manual cut over) and it powers my whole house. I am about to convert to NG/Propane with a kit and also add a 12v starter. (Getting to old to be yanking ropes) With natural gas I will not be running to fill gas cans during storms. And the start will enable my wife to start it if I'm not home.
Full tank runs like forever and starts almost before pulling the rope. Sleeps in my garage and used her for the last storm 4 days in a row non-stop.
This is an outstanding, fuel efficient , easy to maintain generator. It is no longer offered in this configuration due to government regs. Bet generator I have had experience with in my 50+ years of using them. Starts on first pull and will run my pond water pump (submersible) 12 hours on 5 gallons of gas. Bring it back B&S!
