Perfect saw

Excellent value, very powerful, easy to start, great power to weight/size ratios, great medium-size pro saw. size and weight, to power a 20" bar. Almost bought Stihl 400 (67cc) but decided to save $260 and go with the husky and not the unproven magnesium piston. The stihl 311 is also 60cc but has no auto-tune, is not outer dog able, half a hp less powerful

70 acres of timber as a classified forest that needs to be managed under set rules

Have 70 acres of woods on a family farm in Southern Indiana. Use it for culling invasive species and opening up areas for more desirable timber
Several years ago my wife asked what do you really want for Christmas. I said a really good chainsaw , have not been disappointed

Love this saw.

I can run this saw all day. The balance and weight are perfect.

562 xp Great bridge saw

Purchased this last week, barely broken-in with 3 tanks on 3 trees. So far it has been pretty perfect. Set up: 20" & 24"; shorter bars works for me here in southeast MA, 95% jack pine or cottonwood at 12-18" diameters, lots of branches & scrub oak & small black cherry. This saw really goes through wood. On one back- leaner used plunge cut, saw never stuttered. Last month I tried the 550 xp for 2 days and was very impressed but wanted a saw with greater potential for bigger bars for ash, walnut, oak & maples on 20 acres in central ny. I've used the 372 xp, was offered super discount but chose this for slightly lighter saw as it suits my applications- and shoulders- better. Clean up was a breeze with compressed air, inside was oddly clean considering the sap, sand and dirt that comes out of these pines. I liked the no-tool oil & fuel caps. Start up was a breeze, followed the directions, worked as expected, no fuss, did not need to engage the decompression button; bar nuts & side-bar adjustment worked as it should. Directions suggest the drive sprocket should get replaced with each chain replacement. Seriously??
Highly recommend based on first impressions. Time will tell.
Paid $905.00 at cert. dealer with 2 blades, 2 bars (20", 24" pro sprocket husky bars), case, oil & liter of non ethanol gas.

Great saw

I run a small sawmill and use this 562 day in and day out to cut the bark slabs into firewood. I use it with a 28" bar (for down reach). Very reliable and powerful for the size, perfect bridge between a large powerful saw and a light all day long saw.
