My first Echo chainsaw. Have had an Echo pole saw for 13 years. It has never failed me and has never been in the shop. No matter how long it sits it will crank in three pulls or less. As far as big saws, I've been running Poulans, Huskies, and Stihl. Decided to try the Echo Timberwolf. I have been digging my way out of hurricane Michael. Biggest mess I've ever seen. Been running saws almost daily for a month. Out of three saws, Husky, Poulan, and Echo, I find myself grabbing the Echo every time. (Posted on November 12, 2018)

Had several large ash trees that needed to come down took down 3 first day. This saw ran absolutely flawless cut up all 3 without missing a beat very happy with saw so far just watch out you don't over choke it, it will flood easily (Posted on September 19, 2017)

Would not recommend it to any one with a bad heart. It is a heart attach waiting to happen.

Big engine, careful with throttle Review by JEFF

Echo instructions say to start engine with bar lock engaged. The throttle is tuned up, so that if the bar lock isn't engaged, the chain will be moving (pretty rapidly, too). This is contrast to other saw makers that have a throttle lock on the handle, but tuned down so you can leave it running without tearing up your chain or engine. All in all, it seems like Echo has a bit of a design problem.
Otherwise, this chainsaw can tear through just about anything. After tuning it up a little, I broke mine in by cleaning up my property full of live mesquite and oak. It didn't choke once on trees measuring over a foot in diameter. And with that (Posted on May 4, 2017)

Echo 590 was 2015 consumer report saw of the year. Second 590 i have owned, first one is still strong and gives no problems. Echo is so far ahead of Stihl its not even close. My Stihl saws give problems and dollar me to death. (Posted on April 6, 2017)
