Needed to put a sharper edge on it upon arrival, but I like the axe a lot. It performs and handles well.

Arrived quicker than expected. Excellent handle, axe head and leather sheath. Edge was terrible. Took about two hours to get the edge i liked.

First lets be perfectly clear this is a carpenters axe. If you are looking for an axe for basic camp chores or general work around the house like splitting kindling you may want the Husqvarna All Purpose. That being said, this axe does those chores fine. But being a professional carpenter this axe does several other tasks for me applying to timberframe and log construction. So the axe is very well made. The head is perfectly hung, proper grain orientation in the handle and it was sharp when I got it. Anyway its a very good tool at a very good price
