The Generac 5665 Maintenance Kit is a scheduled maintenance package designed specifically for older, high-capacity Generac and Guardian-branded 20 kW air-cooled standby generators equipped with the 999cc V-Twin engine (models produced prior to 2013). It provides all the essential components needed to perform the required annual or biannual service, ensuring the generator runs efficiently, reliably, and maintains its factory warranty.

Air Filter 

• Protects the engine's combustion chamber by filtering out dust, dirt, and debris from the intake air. Crucial for maximum horsepower and engine longevity.

Pre-Cleaner

• An additional foam layer that wraps around the main air filter, designed to catch larger particles, particularly useful if the generator is installed in a dusty or dirty environment.
  

Oil Filter 

• Removes harmful contaminants from the lubricating oil, preventing wear and tear on internal engine parts like bearings and pistons.

Spark Plugs (2) 

• Provides the necessary ignition for the V-Twin engine. Replacing them ensures quick, reliable starting and proper combustion efficiency.

Spark Plug Wrench   

• A specialized tool included for the correct installation and removal of the spark plugs.

Oil Funnel

• Aids in adding the fresh engine oil cleanly and without spillage.

Chamois / Shop Towel

• For wiping up oil spills or cleaning parts during the maintenance procedure.

Reminder Sticker   

• Used to record the date and hours of service, helping the user track the next required maintenance interval.
