Husqvarna Timber Tongs 12" 574387601 Log Mover Lifter - 2 Pk

Tongs seem to work good. For me I wish they were about 3 inches longer. Would make picking logs up a little easier. At 71 years old with steel rods holding my back together bending is a tough process.

I bought these after watching a video and they do seem to be useful with grabbing some wood pieces. It makes it easier to move the wood with the tongs than without them. I was getting better with grabbing the wood and placing it on the splitter as the day went on. The 4 star for the price was due to me finding the item cheaper priced at the store than off Ebay and I had to pay the higher price. The Value is there to have them, I just need to learn to use them instead of grabbing with my hands, so I don't know how they may work out for others. I do like them and I am glad I am learning to use them. When I grabbed a piece of wood with the tongs, the wood stayed in the jaws.

Great quality product. A real time saver , no more bending over, no more smashing my fingers. They grip the logs real well, even wet logs. Very happy with my purchase.

The Husqvarna 12” & 6” Timber Tongs I purchased from SLE Equipment are great, I me really great!!
I’m 60-years old with a bad back, knees & neck. I still love cutting & splitting firewood to burn all winter and occasional campfire. I also help neighbors that have tree issues.
All that bending has taken a toll on my back & knees let alone causing my arms to cramp up when I overdo it. I’ve used the 12” tongs several times now clearing Ash & Maple trees, about eight truck loads worth, and I am really amazed. Normally I could get 2-loads at a time and have a lot of pain the next couple days. When able to use the tongs I could load & stack the off-load nearly twice as fast with very little pain!! With these tongs you don’t have to bend or kneel way down, it really makes things easier & faster.
It’s nice to pick up two pieces at a time for balance then just toss them in the truck. I can also drag them out and stack them very fast without heaving them up with both arms. When the log is too big to grab at one end I just grab it in the middle and it normally grabs right on.
The handles have a slight angle to them which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it’s perfect to handle the weight with. I can even drag long logs out of the woods. I highly recommend getting two Timber Tongs so you can lift those longer logs with ease!!
I only used the six-inch Timber Tongs once after splitting a bunch of logs. They made it very easy picking up the smaller stuff and stacking it. No deep bending of the knees or back!!

I ordered them on a Friday afternoon and got them Wednesday. I truly appreciated the way the agent handled my order and his kindness. On top of that SLE’s price was half of everyplace else I shopped including my local Husqvarna dealer.

I would recommend perching two of them at 12 inches.. What I like is that you don't bend your back as much. One uses their legs and arms to lift. Using two of them you can balance your load better and at times carry two chunks at a time. I think the 12 inch tongs give more options in the size of log a person can carry.
