Over a period of 20 years, I used Craftsman 18". went through 3 of them on med duty use. Needed a heavy-duty saw for a large tree that blew down in my yard. This saw started easily; a couple of pulls now starts on one pull every time!! Smooth operation cuts beautifully. Only use Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel/ no ethanol. 7.99 per pint but worth it !! A powerful saw, more torque than my old husquvarna 55. I bought it with the 24" blade, this does fine on soft wood like pine, when I need to cut harder wood such as oak I use my 20" blade. (Longer blades means more friction and power loss). (Posted on July 7, 2014)

Husqvarna only offers a 16" and 18" bar for your 440 model.
